I got a new switch, and a older one is replaced by the new one, since the old one is just a layer 2 switch, and no ip or routing was implemented before, so, I just replace it without configuration, it worked fine. but as the same situation, another old switch was replace as the same way, the network break off. topology as below:
after the engineer checking, we found that we forgot to configure vlan on the LSW2, I'm curious about that why in the first situation, no vlan configuration wouldn't result in the network break off.
If there are other VLANs (except VLAN 1), the other VLAN should be configured on LSW2 to make sure that the network works normally, or the traffic in the other VLAN will be discarded on LSW2.
