HiCoins as reward: 0 (problem unresolved)

Hello team!

According to the HG8321R user, after some optical modems are used, the data in the optical modems cannot be cleared by pressing and holding the reset button. However, the ONTs are still registered. Remote recovery is required when personnel cannot reach the site.

How should we solve the problem?

Thanks for your help!

Hi friend.

Ensure that the ONT works properly. If the ONT cannot clear data by holding down the reset button, add the ONT to the OLT, log in to the ONT remotely, and run the command to clear the ONT data. The procedure is as follows:

1. Use the U2000 or log in to the OLT to add an optical modem. Ensure that the optical modem is online.

2. Enter the diagnose mode and enable the telnet command.

3. Telnet to the optical modem and telnet the ONT ID of the shelf/slot/port.

4. On the login page of the optical modem, enter the user name and password, and run the following commands to clear the ONT data and restart the ONT:

  • WAP>restore manufactory

  • WAP> reset

After the optical modem is restarted, the data in the optical modem is restored to the initial state.

I hope I can help you.
