How to Customize Dashboard on Huawei Cloud Stack 8.1 [Demo Download]

Latest reply: May 4, 2022 11:11:44 419 12 5 0 0

Hello, everyone!

During O&M, customers want to present information about the overall running status of the data center, such as alarms, resources, capacities, and performance, in the O&M center and exhibition hall. In addition, they want to flexibly customize or adjust the information to be displayed and display mode based on service changes or O&M requirements.

The dashboard provides various visualized templates and large-screen display platforms to help administrators easily build professional visualized applications on the graphical user interface (GUI). It also delivers large screens to visualize interactive data, helping administrators detect and diagnose service problems.

Trail Use Scenario

Customer pain points:

During O&M, company A needs to centrally display the overall running status of the data center, such as alarms, resources, capacity, and performance, in the O&M center and exhibition hall. In addition, company A needs to flexibly customize or adjust the display content and display mode based on service changes or O&M requirements. However, monitoring information is difficult to converge and does not meet the display requirements of different screen resolutions.

Based on the preceding problems, the O&M team of company A wants to provide a visualized and customized large-screen demonstration and monitoring capability to enable centralized monitoring, demonstration, and reporting for different O&M scenarios.

Solution:

Use the custom dashboard to display the running status of the data center based on the matching chart type or topology type to meet the requirements for big-screen demonstration and centralized monitoring of the data center.

The data center resource pool overview dashboard customized by O&M personnel of company A is used as an example.

Task 1: Creating a Dashboard

Task 2: Configuring the Element Data and Layout

In this trial use, you can set the data and style of the map, progress bar, line chart, and text to display the area, and number of ECSs.the number of vCPU cores, ECS status, vCPU allocation, and CPU usage.

Task 3: Configuring the Dashboard Style and Linkage.

After configuring the element data and style, you can configure the dashboard style and linkage to ensure better presentation effects. After a linkage action is configured, if the data of the active source is updated, the related data of the slave element is accordingly updated.

That's all, thanks!
