How to Convert LAN to WAN Port

Hi, team.


I have a Huawei GPON router but there's no WAN port. I just want to connect the ethernet cable (ISP provided). Could you please tell me, how can I convert a LAN port to a WAN port?


Router model: EchoLife HG8546M

Hello,

1. In the navigation tree on the left, choose WAN > WAN Configuration. In the pane on the right, click New. In the dialog box that is displayed, set Mode to Bridge WAN, as shown in Figure 1.

2. Click Apply.


Binding Options

Used to bind the WAN interface to the LAN port or to the wireless SSID.

NOTE:
Before setting the binding options, set the work mode of the LAN port to route or set the wireless SSID. The binding options can be set only after the work mode or wireless SSID is successfully set.

Not working.
When i select the "Bridge WAN" opting then the user name and password box not showing.
Do you know any other way to convert LAN to WAN?

Function

This command is used to set the password for a web user. 

Format

set webuserpasswd instance instance password password  

Parameters

[tr]Parameter
Description
Value
[/tr]

instance instance
Indicates the instance ID of the web user.
Numeral type. Range: 1–2.

  • 1: normal user

  • 2: administrator

password password
Indicates the password.
Character string type, a string of 6-127 characters, which must contain two types of following characters: upper case letters, lower case letters, digits, and special characters.

I just talk about Inter service provider(ISP) given user name and password. Without this information, I can't connect the internet.
