How to Control the Routes Advertised by the Device to the OSPF peer

Latest reply: Dec 29, 2018 06:37:49 258 4 8 1

[Problem Description]

The three devices A, B, C, and B have established OSPF peer with A and C respectively and belong to the same process. The OSPF of A imports the direct route. Therefore, the routing policy needs to be configured on B, C cannot receive a loopback address from A.

[Verification Process]

Three loopback addresses are configured on A, and OSPF VPN peer is established between vlanif211 and B. In addition, direct routes are imported into the OSPF process

The three routes are displayed in the VPN routing table on B.

A OSPF VPN neighbor relationship is established between B and C through vlanif1211. The three routes are also displayed on C's device.

Configure ospf filter-lsa-out on vlanif1211 of B to filter LSAs.

After the configuration is complete, there are only two routes on C.

Before the emergence of OSPF, the Routing Information Protocol (RIP) was widely used as an IGP on networks. RIP is a distance-vector routing protocol. Due to its slow convergence, routing loops, and poor scalability, RIP is gradually being replaced with OSPF.
