This post focuses on the process of how to configure the ONT in router mode. Please have a look below.
ISSUE DESCRIPTION
We want to configure the ONT to receive WAN-access from VLAN 507 where it will receive an IP-address from DHCP for Internet-access.
Then clients can connect to eth 1-4 for NAT from the ONT. Just like a Gateway/Router ONT scenario.
SOLUTION
Please run the following command:
(config)#gpon ont home-gateway config-method omci
After that, try the below commands:
MA5600T(config-if-gpon-0/5)#ont ipconfig 2 20 ip-index 0 dhcp vlan 507
MA5600T(config-if-gpon-0/5)#ont internet-config 2 20 ip-index 0
