Hello, guys.

I want to configure the heartbeat in FunsionCompute, in order to separate it from the management plane.

The FunsionCompute is deployed on the E9000, and the version of E9000 is V100R001C00SPC350

Can anyone help me?

Hi, Werido!

Please try to configure as follows.

Step 1

Plan the IP address of the new gateway.

It is recommended for the uplink core switch to be in the same equipment room as the E9000.

Ensure that the new gateway can be pinged from the E9000 iBMC and FusionCompute management planes.

Step 2

Add a service management interface for the virtualized SAN storage heartbeat plane to the host.

A VLAN and a network segment need to be planned separately.

The VLAN and network segment must be configured firstly on the E9000 switch board and then in FusionCompute.

Step 3

Stop the VM service time window, shut down the VM, and 'Changing the Network Plane that Carries Virtualized SAN Storage Traffic'.

Step 4

Change the gateway on the E9000 management portal and in FusionCompute.

I hope it is helpful for you.

Hi!

An independent network plane that carries the virtualized SAN storage traffic and a service management port that manages the virtualized SAN storage heartbeat traffic are both enabled or disabled and configured as per Table 5-4 requires if you want to add a data store provided by the virtualized SAN storage.

For details, please see Changing the Network Plane that Carries Virtualized SAN Storage Traffic in the FusionCompute V100R005C10 Storage Management Guide and Adding Service Management Ports (Required Only for Virtualized SAN Storage) in the FusionCompute V100R005C10 Host and Cluster Management Guide.
