Hello, guys!
It is nice to meet you in the community!
In the post, I will introduce how to configure Motion Detection. Due to different protocols for camera docking, the configuration is also different.
Motion Detection is the process of detecting a change in the position of an object relative to its surroundings or a change in the surroundings relative to an object.
The IVS solution support automatically generates an alarm when a motion is detected in a specified surveillance area. Inspection personnel can view the video image to identify harmful objects and take necessary actions.
So, how to configure it?

First, you need to know whether the camera is connected through GB/T 28181 or ONVIF.
And then you can set Motion Detection following the steps as below.
Using GB/T 28181 protocol
Enable alarm deployment function
Log in to the C/S client and double-click Devices.
Click the Local Domain tab.
Double-click camera on the device list.
Choose System > Basic Info.
Set Alarm deployment to Enable.
Click OK.
Configure Motion Detection
Choose Settings > Intelligent > Common Intelligence > Motion.
Select Enable. The setting takes effect only after you click Save.
Click Add to add a reconnaissance area, and you can use the mouse to adjust the location and size of the motion detection area.
Set parameter.
Table-1 Parameter Description
Parameter
Description
Alarm check interval
Interval at which the system checks for new alarms. If any alarm is detected, the system reports the alarm to the surveillance platform.
Sensitivity
Motion detection sensitivity. A larger value indicates a higher sensitivity. To detect slight motion, it is recommended that you set the sensitivity to a larger value.
Click Save.
Using ONVIF protocol
Enable alarm deployment function
Log in to the C/S client and double-click Devices.
Click the Local Domain tab.
Double-click camera on the device list.
Choose System > Basic Info.
Set Alarm deployment to Enable.
Click OK.
Configure Motion Detection
Configure the Motion Detection the same as above(Using GB/T 28181 protocol).
Enable the function.
Log in to the C/S client.
In the Others panel on the left of the Workspace tab page, double-click Motion Detection.
Select the PU-based motion detection option, as shown in Step 2 in the figure.

Click Save.
Another way to configure the Motion Detection when the camera is connected to VCN using ONVIF, you can refer to the section( Configuring Motion Detection on the VCN).
