Hello, everyone.
Today, I'd like to introduce how to configure dummy light at the optical layer.
For a system that cannot be fully filled with all service wavelengths at first, it is required to fill other vacant wavelengths with other wavelengths without services. At the same time, when it is convenient to expand the service later, it will not cause a great impact on the original system. You only need to fine-tune the wavelength of the expanded service. This wavelength is generally called: Dummy light, which means false light without a signal.
The following configuration is recommended:
100 GHz: OA+ITL+OA+OD

50 GHz: OA+ITL+2xOA+2xOD

Operation process:
1) Simplify the process without considering the number of light waves: the optical layer interface manually drags the forward Raman (CRPC03) to the site and automatically brings out the Dummy light set configuration. It is displayed in front of the RPC in the form of a legend, as shown below:

2) Because it is necessary to configure RPC03, which does not support the OD system, you need to cancel the OD setting before configuration;

3) After completing the cabinet configuration, you can check the specific boards of the configured dummy light in the fiber connection management interface of the site;

4) Manually delete RPC03 at the light layer, and delete dummy light together;
5) The connection relationship of the internal components of the dummy light creates an internal fiber-optic connection; the fiber connection with the up and down wave devices is not created and does not affect the OTU or the through-wave fiber connection;
6) The optical layer configuration diagram can be output in the form of a legend according to the figure above, which is consistent with the interface of the optical layer;
7) After the dummy light is configured, the MDS does not reflect the impact on optical parameters, that is, the power, OSNR, and OSNR tolerances of the photoelectric layer are unchanged;
It 's over. If there is anything wrong, welcome to leave a message.
