we're trying to setup a Q-in-Q service for a customer, over GPoN. We have several MA5800 onto which HG8010 ONTs are connected.
What we're trying to do is allow the customer to choose and use their own VLAN IDs on their device connected to the ethernet port of the HG8010, and to deliver the traffic to our central interconnection with them. Basically a Layer 2 VPN service with Q-in-Q support.
We've dedicated one VLAN (S-VLAN) for their traffic on our uplink, but we just can't get to setup profiles and service-ports to achieve this, and no tagged traffic is forwarded on the uplink to our switches/routers.
Although we've tried different configurations this is the current one:
vlan 2015 smart
vlan attrib 2015 q-in-q
ont-srvprofile gpon profile-id 99 profile-name "xxx" ont-port eth 1 port q-in-q eth 1 enable commit
In this example, VLAN 2015 is our uplink VLAN into which we'd like to encapsulate customer's VLANs. traffic-tables and dba-profiles are defined and are used successfully elsewhere.
We can't find any examples of configuration for such application (where the VLAN IDs are unknown and are encapsulated into one S-VLAN instead creating a service-port for each one), and would appreciate if anyone can point us into the right direction.
Yes, thank you Gavin, this works exactly as we wanted. Never would of found ont port native-vlan command, we were trying to make it work just using profiles. Thank you very much!
