In the following post I'll show you how to configure and use the call transfer of the Huawei eSpace 7950.
Question 1: What is the call transfer?
A: The call transfer feature allows users to transfer an ongoing call to a third party. The call transfer is classified into blind transfer, semi-consult transfer and consult transfer.
l Via the blind transfer, users complete call transfer operations before hearing the ringback tone of the third party.
l Via the semi-consult transfer, users complete call transfer operations after hearing the ringback tone of the third party but before the third party answers the call.
l Via the consult transfer, users complete call transfer operations after the third party agrees to answer the call.
Question 2: How to configure the call transfer of the Huawei eSpace 7950?
A: By default, users have the service permission. To configure the service permission, perform the following operations:
1. Use an administrator account to log in to the web management system of a U1900 series unified gateway.
2. Click User.
3. Select the SIP number of the Huawei eSpace 7950 and click Service Configuration.
4. Under Simple service, select Call transfer and click OK, as shown in the following figure.
Question 3: How to use the call transfer of the Huawei eSpace 7950?
A: The call transfer operation is as follows:
Blind transfer
The following figure shows the blind transfer mode.
The following operations on the Huawei eSpace 7950:
1. Press Transfer during a call. The call is placed on hold.
2. Enter or select a number.
l Enter the number of a third party, press More to navigate to Done, and press Done.
l Press the Up arrow or Down arrow button to select a contact, press Contact to select a contact in the contact list, or press History to select a contact in the call history, and press Done.
Semi-consult transfer
The following figure shows the the semi-consult transfer mode.
The following operations in Huawei eSpace 7950:
1. Press Transfer during a call. The call is placed on hold.
2. Enter the number of a third party, press the Up or Down arrow button to select a contact, press Contact to select a contact in the contact list, or press History to select a contact in the call history.
3. Press Call.
4. When hearing the ring back tone, press Done.
Consult transfer
The following figure shows the the consult transfer mode.
The following operations in Huawei eSpace 7950:
1. Press Transfer during a call. The call is placed on hold.
2. Enter the number of a third party, press the Up or Down arrow button to select a contact, press Contact to select a contact in the contact list, or press History to select a contact in the call history.
3. Press Call. After the third party answers the call, ask him or her whether to answer the call.
4. If the third party accepts the call, press Done.
