How to Check whether the Telephone Ports of an ONT are Normal

Configure the IP address of the PC in the same subnet as the local maintenance IP address of ONT (for example, the local maintenance IP address of the HG8245 is 192.168.100.1 by default). Ensure that the PC can ping 192.168.100.1.

Access 192.168.100.1 remotely from the PC and input the username and password root/admin. The wap> is displayed, which indicates that the login succeeds.

Input vspa voiptest switch enable in the wap> command to enable the mutual dialing function.

Assume that two telephones are connected to port tel1 and port tel2. The telephone numbers are 0 and 1 respectively (the rest may be reduced by analogy if there are many telephone numbers). 

Hook off telephone tel1 and dial 1 to call telephone tel2. If telephone tel2 rings, and telephone tel2 can communicate with telephone tel1 after offhook, it indicates that the telephone ports of ONT function normally. 

Then use telephone tel2 to call telephone tel1. If the ONT has only one telephone port, hook off the telephone and dial 0 after the mutual dialing function is enabled. Speak to the speaker and if echoes can be heard in the earphone, it indicates that the dialing function is normal.
