Hello, I don't want to change the Hardware version on the ONT, i'm just asking if it's possible to set a specific Hardware version whitelist/policies on the OLT to accept known Hardware version and reject unknown Hardware version who are not in the whitelist/policies. My ISP is doing it as their side, and using Huawei MA5680T OLT too. So i pretty sure is a function of the OLT. Thanks.

Hello, Thank you for your answer. My MA5608T version is : MA5600V800R019C10, Patch SPH205. In fact, i would like to know and do the same thing that my ISP is doing on their customers. It looks like a whitelist with authorized Hardware version and if the Hardware version isn't correct you'll not be able to use the service flows (DHCP, PPPoE...), because in the omci log the vlan mapping isn't allowed because Hardware version mismatch.

This is the next of my previous answer : For example i've a GPON SFP stick that my ISP don't know it. If im changing the SN to a registered SN, i'll get a 05 state, but if i don't change in a same time the Hardware version/ONT version in the MIB file of the SFP to match it, i'll get any vlan mapping functional. I don't know if you see what i mean ? |
