Hello,  all!

How to change the uplink from electrical to optical on a UA5000.

First of all disconnect the utp cable from the two PVMD boards. and do not connect the optical jumpers until the end you connect by serial to the pvmd always active with the equipment offline and you run this.

PVMD_BASE_DE_APOYO> enable
PVMD_BASE_DE_APOYO # config
PVMD_BASE_DE_APOYO (config) #display current-configuration
PVMD_BASE_DE_APOYO (config) #display working mode
working mode: alone
outband port: ETH port
service port: ETH1 port
PVMD_BASE_DE_APOYO (config) # up-linkport set workmode gE-O
PVMD_BASE_DE_APOYO (config) #display working mode
working mode: alone
outband port: ETH port
service port: GE optic port

When you check that the uplink changed to interface GE 0 then you connect only the optical uplink of the active PVMD board after a few minutes with the online equipment and when supervision I confirm that the h248 interface is without alarms and the online equipment and you try and manage to call from the UA5000 then you connect the other optical uplink.

Work carefully anyway the procedure is simple.
When everything lifts ok save.
Thanks and regards!
