how to change the startup area of the AP

The AP has two firmware files: area A and area B. The two files back up each other. When one file is damaged, the AP starts with the other file. You can run the display image or show image command to check the image files.

AP# display image
   Image      Status    Version
==============================================================
   Image A   (Backup)   WA6X3XN\WA6X1_K  V200R002C00B050
    Image B   (Active)   WA6X3XN\WA6X1_K  V200R002C00
==============================================================
AP# config boot-image ?      # Enter A or B.
 A                       Set next boot at image A
 B                       Set next boot at image B

When the AP cannot detect the firmware file damage, the AP attempts to start with the damaged file continuously. To solve the problem, use the following method:

1.Connect the serial ports of the PC and AP with a serial cable and use the HyperTerminal to access the CLI. The settings on the HyperTerminal are as follows:

Baud:9600
Data bits:8
Stop bits:1
Parity: none
Flow Control: none

2.Restart the AP and press any key to stop the startup process. The following information is displayed:
Set ethernet mac address from board data...
Ethernet Mac: 58-00-58-00-22-00

Image: Current Bootup is A
Image: Current Bootup is A
Current master bootup parameter area is A
Boot Kernel A Address: 0x9e8fb000
Boot Kernel B Address: 0x9f8bb000

The preceding information shows that the system boots from kernel A.

When the following information is displayed, press F in 3s. The Uboot CLI is displayed.

The Uboot menu default password is admin.

Press f or F  to stop Auto-Boot in 3 seconds:  3
Password for uboot cmd line :
ar7240>

3.Enter run in the command line window and set the current boot area. (Enter the text in red on the command line interface.)

ar7240> run boot_kernelB
Uncompressingzzy Kernel Image ... OK         # The AP will load the software version and boot from kernel B. run boot_kernel The AP loads the system version from kernel A by default.

4.After the configuration is complete, the AP then starts with the specified firmware file.
