Hello, everyone!
In this post, I would like to share with you how to change the ID of an OSN6800 subrack.
During deployment, some subrack ID may be incorrect or conflict with each other. As a result, the NMS cannot discover NE.
You can change the subrack ID of the OSN6800 by setting the DIP switch on the AUX board.
Firstly, learn about the AUX board.
AUX: System auxiliary interface unit.

Basic Functions: Implements inter-board and inter-subrack communication and intra-subrack management.
Interface: Provides Ethernet communication ports and management ports,Inter-subrack common and emergency communication network port.
DIP Switch: There are eight DIP switches inside the board, which are used to set the subrack ID.
The board has two DIP switches. Each DIP switch can be set to a binary number. 0 or 1. ID1-ID4 correspond to toggle switches 1 to 4 of SW2, and ID5-ID8 correspond to toggle switches 1 to 4 of SW1. Only ID1-ID5 is valid (ID6-ID8 is reserved), which is ID5-ID1 from the most significant bit to the least significant bit. 32 states can be set. The default value is 00000. The value 0 indicates the master subrack, and the other values indicate slave subracks.
When the DIP switch is set to ON, the corresponding bit is set to 0.

After the DIP switch is set, insert the board. The device is powered off and restarted. The ID is changed successfully.
That's all, I hope you like it.
Thank you!
