On the U1900 series unified gateway, system announcements are saved in voice.zip (mrsvoice.zip for the U1980) of the version software. Voice playback channels are 0 to 244. By default, announcements are played in Chinese (Mandarin). The system provides preset announcements in 12 common languages, such as English, French, and Arabic. You can switch the language to a preset or custom language as required.
[Directly switching to a preset language]
The SD card delivered with an SCUB board contains the default announcements in 12 languages. On the U1911/U1960/U1981 with an SCUB board, you can directly switch the announcement language. The system extracts the voice package for the target language from the SD card, overwrites the original voice package in the version software, and synchronizes the voice package to all MTU boards.
- Log in to a U1900 series unified gateway using the CLI and access the Config mode.
