How to change AP4030DN from FAT to FIT?

This post enquires about the procedure of how to change AP4030DN from FAT to FIT. Please see more details as you read further down this post.

I would like to ask for help on how to change AP4030dn from FAT to FIT.

Hello, @orlan_ortiz!

1. Upload the FAT software version on the FTP server.


2. Use the following command from the AP:

[Huawei] ap-mode-switch ftp FatAP5X30XN_V200R007C20SPC100.bin 192.168.10.11 admin admin123

Command parameters description

  • FatAP5X30XN_V200R007C20SPC100.bin - Firmware file name.


  • 192.168.10.11 - FTP/TFTP/SFTP server's IP address.


  • admin - FTP/SFTP user name.


  • admin123 - FTP/SFTP password.


3. Wait for the AP to restart and upgrade. If the AP does not reboot, you can run the following command:

<Huawei> reboot fast  

4. Check the version using the display version command.

The AP should be in FAT mode after following the above steps.

Dear if I am not getting it wrong, question is change from FAT to Fit not from Fit to FAT. Above step is from Fit to FAT, is there any way we can revert from FAT to Fit ?
