- In the Users and Devices panel on the left of the Workspace tab page, double-click Devices.

- Click the Local Domain tab.
- Select the server or cluster to which a camera is to be connected, and choose Add Device > One by One.

- Set camera parameters.
Enter the camera name.- Set Driver to T28181.
- Enter a customized 10-digit or 20-digit code for connecting the camera to the MPU.
- Enter the verification password for the camera to connect to the MPU. The password can be either the user password for logging in to the camera or a customized verification code. However, the password must be the same as the verification password specified when setting platform connection parameters on the camera web page. Here, passwd is used as an example.
- Set Access gateway. If the camera is to connect to a stack or single-node system, use the default value of this parameter. If the camera is to connect to a cluster, set this parameter to the floating gateway IP address of the cluster.
- Click OK.
The newly added GB/T 28181-compliant camera is in offline state. The camera can properly go online only after platform connection parameters are set on the camera web page.
- Double-click the camera to obtain the device code 26567011551320000000 preceding the number sign (#).

- Set the connection parameters on the camera web page.
- Open a web browser, enter the IP address of the camera in the address box, and press Enter.
- Enter the user name and password.
- Choose Settings > Basic Configuration > Platform Connection Parameters.
- Set the platform connection parameters.

- Click Save.
- Choose Settings > Basic Configuration > Time Configuration.
- Set the NTP clock source.

- Click Save.
