how to add camera to VCN

Procedure

  1. In the Others panel on the left of the Workspace tab page, double-click Camera, as shown in Figure 1.

  2. Set search criteria, as shown in Figure 2.

    1. Click en-us_image_0093038496.png in the lower left corner.

    2. Set the start and end IP addresses.

    3. Set Driver to the camera protocol.

    4. Select the domain to which cameras need to connect.

    5. Select the server or cluster to which cameras need to connect.

    6. Click Next.

      The page for searching for and verifying cameras is displayed.

3. Search for and verify cameras, as shown in Figure 3.

  1. Click Search.

  2. In each camera record, enter the user name and password in the text boxes and click Verify.

    If the verification result is en-us_image_0093038475.png, the camera is verified successfully. If the verification result is en-us_image_0100194230.png, the camera fails to be verified. Move the cursor to en-us_image_0100194232.png. The verification failure cause is displayed. The system will automatically select the camera that has been verified.

  3. Select cameras to add and click Next.

    The page for viewing live video and adjusting camera settings is displayed.


4. View live video from a camera and adjust camera settings if needed, as shown in Figure 4.

  1. Click a camera on the left to display live video on the right.

  2. Set Camera name and Location.

  3. Adjust the camera settings based on the live video display.

  4. Click Next.

    The page for grouping cameras is displayed.

5. Optional: Group cameras by observation area or installation location, as shown in Figure 5.

  1. Select a domain.

  2. Click New Group.

  3. Right-click a group, choose Rename from the shortcut menu, and rename the group.

  4. Drag cameras to the group.

6. Click Next.


The cameras are added, as shown in Figure 6. If the en-us_image_0093038475.png icon is displayed in the Status column, the cameras are successfully added.

7. click finish
