This topic describes how to add a VSD account on the SMC2.0.
Background
This case uses SMC 2.0 V100R003C10SPC500 as an example. To ensure account security, the password must be changed before the first login of a new account. When the converged gateway is used to connect to the video conferencing system and video surveillance system, you need to create a VSD login account on the SMC2.0. When you log in to the VSD for the first time, the system displays the following error message: 0X50200002
Therefore, this case summarizes the correct method of adding a VSD account for reference.
Steps
Create a user type.
Log in to the SMC web interface and choose System > User Type. Click
to create a user type. (The following uses the CGWGroup user type as an example.) The following permissions are mandatory.
Participant management/ Converged gateway management/ Conference template management/ Scheduled conference managament/ Third party
You are advised to select all of them. As shown in the following figure.

Create a VSD account on the SMC.
Log in to the SMC web interface, choose System > User&Node > Add local User (use user linda as an example), and set the user type to CGWGroup.

Change the password upon the first login.
Log out of the current page and return to the SMC login page. Log in to the SMC as the user linda.

The system prompts user to change the password.
Enter the old password and new password, and then save the settings.
Log in to the VSD.
Enter the user name linda, the new password, and the SMC IP address.
The login is successful.
