How network coverage is being done in 5G

All the past network genrations had their own station that ensured network coverage. I've learned that your next stations that you will deploy will be directional i.e will not be 100% active and emit signals only when an MS required a service. Is that true ?

I also read about the rcognitive radio technology where by our own mobile stations will serve both as user terminals as well as a coverage radio when and how (if you intend to) are you going to exploit such ?

Regarding your first question, the next-generation 5G base station is still 100% effective. However, we will use Massive MIMO and beamforming techniques to send the signal to the end user. You can search for Massive MIMO and beamforming technology for technical details.


As about your second question, products that can provide the use of related technologies are already on the market. You can use Huawei 5G CPE PRO 2 to search.
