you can calcualte it from the below formula :
Number of E1 trunks = Number of intra-office users x Traffic per user x Proportion of inter-office traffic/(Trunk traffic x 30)

This topic assumes that the number of intra-office users in the headquarters is 5000, the number of intra-office users is 500 at branch 1 and 300 at branch 2, the busy-hour traffic per user is 0.10 Erl, trunk traffic is 0.7 Erl, and the proportion of inter-office traffic is 20%. The number of E1 trunks for each node is recommended as follows.
