How Many Policy-based Routes Can Be Configured for the Firewall and How Do These Routes Impact Device Performance?

Firewall policy-based routes are configured through the policy-based-route command. You can configure a maximum of 100 policies, each of which can be configured with 255 nodes. Each node associates with one condition (if-match) and one behavior (apply). You can also configure the outbound interface and next-hop address for each behavior, but only one policy can be configured for each interface. The firewall searches for a matching policy-based route only for the first packet in each direction, which has no impact on performance.
