How many cameras i can add to IVS ?

The camera access capability of the VCN3020 depends on the VCN product form.

The MPU is used only for video storage and forwarding

• Configured with four GE network adapters: A VCN3020 (MPU) supports access to a maximum of 512 cameras.

• Configured with one 10GE network adapter and working with the VCM fast sysnopsis mode: A VCN3020 (MPU) supports a maximum of 128 PU access.

The MPU is used only for storing and forwarding checkpoint snapshot data

A VCN3020 (MPU) supports access of 512 checkpoint cameras and 512 virtual face checkpoint cameras.

The pure forwarding MPU is used for video forwarding

VCN3020 (MPU) supports a maximum of 5000 PU access channels.

The pure forwarding MPU is used only for checkpoint data forwarding

A VCN3020 (MPU) supports access to a maximum of 1024 checkpoint cameras and 1024 virtual face checkpoint cameras.

When the VCN works as a VMU

• The domain where a VCN3020 (VMU) functions as the master server supports access to up to 100,000 cameras (including the local domain cameras and cameras shared by external domains).

• The domain where a VCN3020 (VMU) functions as the master server supports access to up to 60,000 external domain cameras.
