How license work?

Currently, we use the u2000 system and we plan to migrate it to NCE. The problem is that we are provisioning multicast directly on OLT and does not use the per multicast license on u2000 and it works fine - u2000 does not block anything.

 

The question is whether this mechanism will behave the same on the NCE? This is important as this is a large customer that does not want to use per multicast licenses.

Check whether the customer has an ALS license, as shown in the following figure.

If there is no ALS license, a multicast license is required after the migration to NCE, you need to contact your product manager for assistance. If yes, modifying the ALS license is OK.
