Hello, sir.

How is the alarm reported when numerous onts connected to the same PON port are power off concurrently?

I hope the online engineer will tell me about it because I'm in this situation and I don't know what's going on.

Thanks!

NOTE:

  • If an ONU frequently goes online and offline, such as every several seconds, the ODN may has a fault.

Hello, friend!

1. Numerous ONTs connected to the PON port are powered off concurrently: This alarm is reported when the number of power-off ONTs in 5s exceeds the total number of the online ONTs connected to the same PON port. This alarm has no clear alarm. To clear the alarm, run the alarm active clear command.

For example, there are 10 online ONTs connected to port 0/4/0. Seven ONTs power off instantly. Then the district power outage alarm is reported.

2. ONT MASK: It is a character string of hexadecimal digits with a maximum of 16 bytes. Each byte marks eight ONT IDs. The mask can mark a total of 128 ONTs connected to the PON port.

Each bit of the mask marks a power-off ONT. 1 indicates power-off and 0 indicates power-on. The ONT IDs starts with 0. From right to left are corresponding ONT IDs. For example, mask 34876 = 0011 0100 1000 0111 0110 indicates that the power-off ONT IDs which are respectively 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 11, 14, 16, 17.
