Hi

Currently we have created on Policy routing with vendor Tag - DHCP option 60 in the ONT to differentiate the IPTV Traffic toward the IPTV DNS and NTP servers which is a private subnet, so if i want to communicate to Internet also what can be done , any help or clue

suppose IPTV wan interface got an IP of 10.1.1.1 and need to communicate to 5.5.5.1 , how it can be in HG8240 ONT

Thanks in advance

Hello, friend!

Based on your feedback:

If the IPTV service is isolated, the IPTV service cannot bear the Internet.

You can be created a dedicated routing table. However, the forwarded packets are the IPTV WAN VLAN, and the upper layer is isolated by VLAN. Therefore, the packets are sent only to the IPTV VLAN.

On the WebUI, I see internet wan.

The policy-based route is clear. When the DHCP option 60 is MSFT-IPTV, the packets are transmitted over the IPTV WAN port. When the DHCP option 60 is MSFT-5.0, the packets are transmitted over the Internet WAN port.

If the attached device does not carry Option 60, the device can forward packets based on the static route.

The static route does not take effect and the policy-based route has a higher priority

PBR takes effect preferentially.

Static routes can be added, but the configuration must not conflict with the policy-based route. Policy-based routes have a higher priority.

selecting unbind egress should solve the problem.

Thanks!
