Hi,

Primary stream: The primary streams feature high bit rate, definition, and bandwidth usage.
Secondary stream: The secondary streams feature small bit rate, low definition, and low bandwidth usage.
NOTE:
If the camera does not support secondary streams, an error will occur when setting the recording plan. Then, the system will use primary streams to record video.

You are advised to select Primary stream to store recordings.

Please see the following steps:

1. Log in to the C/S client.

2. Choose Video > Recording Policy, configure Stream for server recording to Primary stream.

3. Click Save.

4. Choose Settings > Local Parameters on the Workspace page, set Default live video stream to Secondary stream.

5. Click Save.
