Hello all,

1

As shown in the following figure, switch: s5720-36c-ei; firewall: usg6305e

The firewall port has been switched to a Layer 2 port. After the policy is configured, normal traffic can pass through the firewall, but mirrored traffic cannot pass through the firewall. After consulting with Huawei firewall after-sales personnel, the solution uses Layer 3 remote mirroring to pass through the firewall. S fixed switches, however, do not support Layer 3 mirroring. Is there any way to allow mirrored traffic to pass through the firewall?

Thanks!

Hello friend,

An interface pair is a pair of incoming and outgoing interfaces of the same type. After an interface pair is formed, the traffic enters the incoming interface of the interface pair is forwarded out of the outgoing interface in the interface pair, without MAC address table lookup. If the incoming and outgoing interfaces are the same interface, the packets entering the interface are forwarded out of the same interface after being processed.
