Hello, friend!
1. Impact on Services During the Upgrade
During vAG upgrade, VMs are disconnected.
During the upgrade of other infrastructure components, users who have logged in to VMs are not affected. However, users who have not logged in to VMs before the upgrade cannot log in to the VMs during the upgrade. The login service resumes after the upgrade is complete.
During the HDA upgrade, users cannot log in to VMs.
During the TOOLS upgrade, users who have logged in to the VM are disconnected, and users who have not logged in to the VM before the upgrade cannot log in to the VM.
2. Impact on O&M During the Upgrade
During the upgrade, do not log in to FusionAccess Portal to perform any operations.
3. Impact on Network Communication During the Upgrade
The upgrade has no impact on network communication.
4. Upgrade Constraints
During the vAG upgrade, the VMs that are being connected will be disconnected and automatically reconnected. If the automatic reconnection fails, login to the VM from the WI again after all management components are upgraded.
Before the HDC and HDA upgrade is complete, users who have not logged in to the VMs cannot log in to the VMs.
Do not change user passwords of the nodes during the upgrade or service observation.
During the upgrade of the HDA, do not log in to user VMs in any mode, including the VNC login mode.
The HDA can be upgraded by VM using the AUS only when the user has the administrator rights.
Only the HDA 6.1 or later can be upgraded using the AUS.
Before upgrading the HDAs, ensure that Service Pack 1 has been installed on VMs that run Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008, and April 2014 update rollup has been installed for VMs that run Windows Server 2012.
The HDAs of VMs running Windows XP or Windows 8.1 can be upgraded only to R6C20.
TCs such as GI945, CT2000, CT3000, CT5000, and CT600 have reached EOS. When these TCs access the WI of FusionAccess 6.5 or later, the system does not prompt you to upgrade AccessClient.
Hope this helps!
