How do I use PuTTY to upload software installation packages to a Linux server

Prerequisites

The PuTTY installation file pscp.exe has been downloaded to your local computer and has been started. To download the PuTTY installation file.

Procedure

The following assumes that the pscp.exe file is stored on disk D.

1.On your local computer, choose Start > Run and run the cmd command.

when the progress reaches 100%, the software package has been uploaded successfully.

pscp is a utility comes with putty and works in putty. it's use scp protocol to transfer files.
