How do i share Internet with an ethernet cable on my HG8245Q?

HG8245Q belongs to ONT device. I have confirmed before that ONT device does not support cascading.

The ONT can only be connected to the PON port in the upstream direction. Therefore, your requirements cannot be met.

The upstream transmission mode can be switched to LAN only for special customized products.

Hi,

HG8245Q2 is a gatway ONT. You can connect on one Eth port new router and you can use 2 wifi networks. You can change pool, wifi name and pass.

Plus my router specifically is a "STC" branded router. Is it not possible in any way to share Internet with lan/ONT only router? Im describing what i want again

I have a router that has internet access. I want to put a lan cable from that to the HG8245Q so that when users connect ti the HG8245q they get internet access.

Yes, you can connect to the HG8245Q through a home router for Internet sharing.
