Q: How do I obtain the CTI ESN?
A: The ESN of the CTI Server is its MAC address. Log in to the server as the root user and run the ifconfig command to view the MAC address.
What is the CTI ESN?
For CTI V300R005, the ESN is the MAC address of the server where CCS is installed. For CTI V300R006, the ESN is the MAC address of the server where NIS is installed.
l If the NIS/CCS server has multiple network adapters, the ESN must include the MAC address of the network port bound to the intelligent call distribution communication (ICDComm).
l If the NIS/CCS server uses dual-network-adapter bonding, between the MAC addresses of the bonded network adapters, the ESN must include the MAC address of the network adapter used for external communication.
A CCS can be bound to two ESNs at most. An NIS can be bound to four ESNs at most.
Procedure
Step 1 Log in to the server as the root user.
Step 2 Run the ifconfig command to view the MAC address.
![]()
Step 3 Convert the MAC address to the ESN.
ESN format: An ESN must be a string of 12 uppercase letters, and cannot contain special characters such as hyphens (-), semicolons (;), or periods (.). If the ESN contains fewer than 12 characters, prefix it with zeros.
For example, if the MAC address is 28:6E:D4:89:34:53, the correct ESN is 286ED4893453.
