To resolve this problem, perform the following steps:
Step 1 Use VNC to log in to a VM. If the BSOD is displayed as shown in Figure 7-25, restart the VM in the management window.
Step 2 After the restart, log in to the VM as a user that has administrator rights.
Step 3 Right-click My Computer and choose Manage from the shortcut menu.
In the left pane of the Computer Management window, click Disk Management. In the right pane, check whether a disk is not initialized or allocated. Right-click the disk that is not initialized and choose Initialize Disk from the shortcut menu to initialize it.

Step 4 Right-click the disk that is not allocated and choose New Simple Volume from the shortcut menu to create a logical volume and initialize the disk.

Step 5 Install a patch the next time when it is available.
