Hello all,

How to create a CI on the MME? If anyone knows, please let me know!

Thanks in advance!

Hi Hide_on_bush,

There are three cell IDs:

Local cell ID

This parameter identifies a cell in an eNodeB. This parameter is used only when an eNodeB is configured. External UEs, MMEs, and UGWs are invisible.

Differentiating cells within a BTS. This parameter is valid only within the BTS.

Cell ID

This parameter is defined in 3GPP specifications and uniquely identifies a cell in an eNodeB (only inside the base station).

The cell ID and eNodeB ID form an E-UTRAN cell ID, which uniquely identifies a cell on the entire E-UTRAN network.

The E-UTRAN cell ID and the PLMN constitute an ECGI, which is uniquely identified by the E-UTRAN cell.

The cell ID is valid on the entire network.

Physical Cell ID

Distinguish radio signals from different cells. Ensure that the PCI does not have the same PCI in the coverage area of the coherent cell. This PCI is used by the UE to search for cells and is valid in the coverage area of the signals received by the UE.

Hope this helps!

Hello friend!

Do you want to know how to create an LTE cell?

Hi Thomas_Tan,
Yes, I have had problems creating LTE cells, and I don't understand the difference between the two CIs.

I think the Cell ID is used to uniquely identifies a cell within RNC or BSC for 2G, 3G

Thank you, friend, but I'm talking about the cell ID in the Create LTE Cell window.
