What's call forwarding?

If a user activates the call forwarding service, incoming calls are automatically forwarded to a preset forward-to number without going through the user.

Configuring the Global Priority

An administrator can configure global priorities of the CFU, CFNR, CFB, and CFO services for all users on a U1900 series unified gateway.

Step 1     Use an administrator account to log in to the web management system of a U1900 series unified gateway.

Step 2     Choose User > Global Service.

Step 3     Click Configure next to Forward service.

Step 4     Set the default global priority for the call forwarding service.

Step 5     Click OK.

Step 6     In the upper right corner of the web page, click 150101jl44nqzn1hfn5h02.png to save the configuration.

Configuring the User Priority and Right

An administrator can configure the priorities and rights of the CFU, CFNR, CFB, and CFO services for a single user.

Step 1     Use an administrator account to log in to the web management system of a U1900 series unified gateway.

Step 2     On the User > SIP User or User > POTS User page, select the user number to be assigned the service permission and click Service Configuration.

Step 3     Under Complex service, click Configure next to Forward service.

Step 4     In the dialog box that is displayed, set the priority and right of each forwarding service, as shown in Figure 1-1.

l  If Priority is set to Voice mailbox, incoming calls of the user will be forwarded to the voice mailbox.

l  If Priority is set to None, the user adopts the priority in the global configurations.

Step 5     Click OK.

Configuring the CFC

This topic assumes that you want to activate the call forwarding conditional (CFC) service for user 1000, that is, all incoming calls to user 1000 at 08:00 to 17:00 every Monday are forwarded to user 1001.

Step 1     Use an administrator account to log in to the web management system of a U1900 series unified gateway.

Step 2     On the User > SIP User or User > POTS User page, select the user number to be assigned the service permission and click Service Configuration.

Step 3     Under Complex service, click Configure next to Call forward conditional.

Step 4     In the Configure Call forward conditional dialog box that is displayed, click Create and set related parameters, as shown in Figure 1-2.

If the user with the target user number is an external user, you need to add an outgoing call prefix to the forward-to number.

Step 5     Click OK.

Configuring Remote Activation Service

A user can dial a specified prefix on a local phone to activate or deactivate forwarding services for other phones as prompted.

Phones A, and B can belong to the same or different U1900 unified gateways.

Step 1     Loading the script for activating or deactivating the forwarding services.

1.    Use an administrator account to log in to the web management system of a U1900 series unified gateway.

2.    Loading the script on the System > Script Management page.

  Script type : VU

  Load file : Software\script\english\remote activation

  Script name : Script for registering call forwarding service.txt and Script for canceling call forwarding service.txt.

Step 2     Configure the virtual user (VU) prefix for activating or deactivating the forwarding service.

1.    Use an administrator account to log in to the web management system of a U1900 series unified gateway.

2.    Choose Trunk > Called Prefix Configuration, click Create.

3.    Configure the virtual user (VU) prefix.

  Prefix : 120, 121

  Service type : Virtual user

  Call property : Customized automatic switchboard

  Script name : RemoteCfx, CancelRemoteCfx

4.    Click OK.

5.    In the upper right corner of the web page, click 150101jl44nqzn1hfn5h02.png to save the configuration.

Configuring the Forward Override Rights(Optional)

For the U1900 series unified gateways with the version V200R003C20SPC200 or later, user A enables the forward override function, and calls user B who has registered the call forwarding service. User B's call forwarding service does not take effect.

config modify subscriber dn dn operatenewservice add newservicerights overcfx

Indicates that the forwarding override permission overcfx is enabled for user number dn.

Configuring Call Forwarding Based on UC Client Status

The following assumes that the service number corresponding to a UC client account is SIP number A. To enable call forwarding based on UC client status for this SIP number, perform the following steps:

Step 1     Use an administrator account to log in to the web management system of a U1900 series unified gateway.

Step 2     On the User > SIP User page, select the user number to be assigned the service permission and click Service Configuration.

Step 3     In the Simple service area, select UC Client Status-based Call Forwarding.

Step 4     Click OK.

Step 5     In the upper right corner of the web page, click 150101jl44nqzn1hfn5h02.png to save the configuration.
