How can we distinguish whether we have to choose REG or OLA in DWDM Technology?

Hi there!

It depends on multiple factors, especially the OSNR which is the Optical Signal to Noise Ratio that is within 15 dB.

If the OSNR threshold is exceeded, we have to use REG to recover the signal within the BER threshold; otherwise we would have to use OLA.
