As I checked we cannot change Layer2 MTU size in Huawei switches (S6700). There is solution only to change MTU size after change the interface to L3.Is it possible to change MTU size globally in switches or any other solution to change MTU size.

Hi,
MTU(maximum transmission unit) refers to the size of a Layer 3 IP packet.
To control the size of Layer 2 frames on an interface, run the jumboframe enable command.
For details, please refer to https://support.huawei.com/hedex/hdx.do?docid=EDOC1100101074&id=EN-US_CLIREF_0177114416&lang=en

Hi,
You can use command mtu under the interface view to modify the MTU value. Please refer to https://support.huawei.com/hedex/hdx.do?docid=EDOC1100037168&id=mtu_ap-system-profile_view&lang=en

Hello,

Huawei, Cisco, and Ericsson (Redback) devices use the IP MTU as the MTU on their Ethernet ports, and other vendors use the Layer 2 MTU (IP MTU + Layer 2 header or CRC). The following table lists the MTUs of common product models.

Hi,

It solves my problem. I realized that jumboframe is already enabled in default interface configuration as 9216 bytes.

Thanks a lot. :)
