How can I use Huawei EG8145V5 as an AP for a wifi extender/old wifi router?

I want to use my old TP-Link WR740N router as an extender but I cant seem to figure out how to make it work. My old wifi router seems to work as a repeater on other modem/router using its own WDS settings but it does not work for EG8145V5.  EG814

We cannot provide technical support for non-Huawei products. For the EG8145V5, I propose to you the following: please check what mode your Wi-Fi router has set - in bridging mode, the LAN port of the Wi-Fi router is connected to the LAN port of the EG8145V5; in routing mode, the WAN port of the Wi-Fi router is connected to the LAN port of the EG8145V5.
