How Can I Troubleshoot a Host Fails to Be Discovered Using an Agent

Possible Causes
The host time is different from the current time or earlier than the time when the certificate is generated (2014-07-18). As a result, the certificate verification fails when the eSight communicates with the host through the HTTPS.
Fault Diagnosis
Log in to the host and check whether the host time is the same as the current time.

In Windows, log in to the host, start the CLI, and run the date command to check the host time.
In Linux, log in to the host and run the date command to check the host time.
Procedure
Setting host time in Windows: On the CLI, run the date command, type the current time in the correct format, and press Enter; Setting host time in Linux: Run the date -s year/month/day command to modify the host time.
