Before deleting an SQL database, ensure that the database is not in use. Otherwise, data may be lost.

Log in to the SQL Server Management Studio as an sa user.
Select the database to be deleted. Right-click it and choose Delete from the shortcut menu.

3. In the dialog box that is displayed, click OK.
