How can CCTV work normally under low temperatures?
The internal electronic components of the surveillance camera are affected by the environment. If the temperature is too high or too low, the camera cannot be used. If the ambient temperature is too low, the electronic device cannot reach the pre-heat value, which also affects the working characteristics of the machine. The general method is to add a protective shield to the machine. However, if the temperature is lower than 40° C, the traditional equipment cannot work. Only the wide temperature equipment that complies with the industrial standard can meet the requirements.
Huawei have some models support the low-temperature startup function. When the temperature of the main board is too low, the camera automatically enters the low-temperature startup state when it is powered on. The electromechanical device temporarily cannot work properly (no response to operations such as zoom and focus). The camera with a heater automatically enables the heater to heat the camera. The camera with no heater but with an illuminator may forcibly enable the illuminator (users cannot control the illuminator at this time) to heat the camera. The low-temperature startup lasts for a maximum of one hour and then exits automatically. Alternatively, the low-temperature startup automatically exits after the temperature rises. Then the camera enters the normal startup and working state.
For example, The following are part of Huawei devices, some have independent temperature control management unit, and some can be equipped with a protective shield to ensure the stability of the camera when running at low temperatures.

Of course, not only the low temperature, the surveillance cameras also face various kinds of bad weather, such as high temperature, haze, lightning and so on. These are the problems that need to be overcome by security engineers.
