1 Problem Description
On 2019-03-14, the host port CTE0.A.IOM0.P2 is disconnected.
2 Problem Analysis
At low probability, IO timeout is handled by a chip. The error code is 0xbc.
In this case, it may cause IO blocking and the drive reported chip err.
The system internally reset the interface card. This is an internally set recovery strategy. Then the interface card back to normal.
3 Root Cause
When IO timeout is handled by a chip, the interface card is reset through the established policy within the system, resulting in the port being briefly disconnected.
4 Corrective Action
It is normal, not need to handle. For the current version, we have resolved it by reset the chip for this scenario and no need to replace the card.
