This time I'll leave just a short note about the HCNP certificate. I was quite busy last week and could spend almost no time on writing this article, but actually there is not much to write about. i_f01.gif For sure next week I'll share more abote HCIE written exam.

HCNP the intermediate step

At first, I got the information that CCNP/JNCIP-holders may take advantage of a certification shortcut – instead of passing three HCNP-level exams (similar to the form of CCNP R&S) – just a single special exam (H12-224) must be passed to get certified. Again, I used the PDF materials, videos, eNSP-based training. Unfortunately, this shortcut-exam is very badly documented and most likely you won’t get any relevant information about its content. I strongly suggest asking Huawei Learning administration about any details of H12-224. I thought I may be asked about some Huawei-proprietary technologies that could not be covered by Cisco or Juniper professional level certifications. To my surprise, about half of the exam’s content was about planning, design, etc. (PDIOI). I almost failed – just almost. i_f29.gif It was two months of laid-back self-study, 5 hours a week on average but it paid off.
