High Latency

Hi there.


One of my customers is reporting high latency of 16-20ms with his connection.

I checked with other customers and they are having only 4-3ms of latency.

When I checked the optical power this customer's ONT EG8141A5 is receiving -28dbm pf optical power. What may be the cause of this high latency?

Hello, friend! 


The ONT optical power threshold is –8 to –27. I suspect that the high delay is caused by weak optical signals. 


It is recommended that you reduce the attenuation of light.
