High CRC error when connecting to a certain interface in a switch

Hello is it possible that we get high CRC because the physical interface of a switch is defective? We tried using the same utp cable in other ports and we get 0 CRC errors


What other parameters could we test to check if this certain port is defective?

If an interface is faulty, the CRC count may increase. Pay attention to the following points:
1. Check whether the CRC count keeps increasing.
2. Check whether the optical module or link is faulty.
3. If the fault is not caused by the media, check whether the fault is caused by a port.

hi friend, we are only using utp. we tried changing the cable and still have high CRC. we tried connecting on other interface as well and it is ok. would like to ask if s5700 switches has capability to test the reliability of its ports internally?

The reliability test of the test port must be performed in the lab. Check whether the fault is caused by a switch or a cable. If the fault occurs only on a port of the switch, contact the TAC center and ask professional hardware engineers to check the fault. In addition, you are advised to update the software version of the switch in a timely manner to ensure that the software version causes the limitation error or calculation error.
