I will share one case about the HG865 ONT broadcast traffic suppression failure caused by the ONT CPU CAR below.

Problem Description
ONT version info:
PCB version: HG865GTA VER.A
soft version: V100R001C01B012
BIOS version :uboot-1.1.4-3.2
MA5600T version: MA5600V800R005C32B150.
Topology is as following:
SMB ---(GE0)ONT HG865---optical splitter---MA5600T(GPBC board 0/4/0 GEMID 129 user VLAN 10 service VLAN 1111)(uplink 0/20/1 to SMB)---SMB
On 0/4 gpon board 12's traffic suppress level has been set(12.5M):

After sending any amount of broadcast traffic to this port - broadcast traffic is suppressed to the constant value of about 100kbps.
MA5600T configuration, logs, and SMB screenshots are attached.
Problem Analysis
1. Check with small broadcast traffic (1M) - may be a big amount (50M) could cause ONT to work wrongly.
2. Check upstream port broadcast suppression - maybe it could affect 0/4 board broadcast suppression.
3. Check GPON port statistics to verify that the packets weren't dropped on the GPON board before they are sent upstream.

Please check the attached files-screenshots of SmartBits traffic generator with 1M,2M,3M, and 10M of broadcast traffic.
2. Have checked port statistics-found that broadcast packets are dropped before reaching GPON port-by ONT.
3. Check mac-addresses:

4. R&D confirmed that traffic suppression test couldn't be tested with ONT HG865, because on ONT HG865 all broadcast traffic is sent to CPU and CPU has a fixed CAR (about 100kbps).
Suggestion
1. Suggest adding this feature to the ONT HG865 guide.
2. Please add a note about the ONT type which can be used to finish traffic suppression test into MA5600T configuration and acceptance test guide.
