HG8546M login problem

i have Huawei Echolife HG8546M Gpon onu, i tryed to convert it Xpone(GPON/EPON) with GEmode.bin file but now i cant to access my router through web brouser and telnet.


i got 192.168.254.1 ip and default gateway 192.168.254.254 as below while i connected to router

ipconfig

so i tryed in web browser 192.168.254.254 but it says this site can't be reached as below.

i am not using any ip configured and proxy, all are set to be automatic.


someone help me please.

In addition, the third-party conversion software that you're using may cause device faults. If you need to convert to GPON/EPON, you are advised to replace the device.

Hi, friend.


First, it is certain that the GPON ONT cannot be directly converted to the EPON ONT. The difference between EPON and GPON is that EPON and GPON use different technologies. The optical modem cannot be directly replaced due to different technologies.
If you need to convert GPON to EPON, you can only replace the ONT.

You need to check whether the access terminal is in the same network segment with HG8546M. You can try to Ping the IP of the device (the IP address shown on the device nameplate). If the Ping does not work, it means that the IP of the terminal is not in the same network segment with HG8546M, so the access fails.

HG series products:IP address: 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.100.1
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Set the IP address to be in the same network segment as the LAN IP address of the ONT.

For example:
IP address: 192.168.1.100
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

In addition, the HG8546M is a carrier product. If the problem persists, contact your local ISP.

router is directly connected to my laptop and the default gateway(192.168.254.254) is pingable.

Have you tried logging in with the default IP address on the back of your ONT device?

yes but it is not working. because it default dhcp is set to 192.168.254.254. i reset the router so many times but it still using the same default gateway (192.168.254.254)

After the device is reset, the device configuration is restored to the default settings and the network is lost. You need to reconfigure the device.
To reconfigure the network, contact the ISP for configuration data.

yes it is restored to default settings. but my question is why i cannot access router with ip and telnet, if i can access the router it can be use in my olt
