HG8245W5 keeps restarting

I have a question.


ProductClass: HG8245W5;
HWVer: HWTCA163DA;
SWVer: HWTCA51910295;


The device seems to be restarting every couple of minutes. All LED lights except Power go off, then they come back on to the correct operational state, then go off again, and so on. Even with the default configuration.

I wasn't able to find out what this Cause: [5] means. Does anyone know what cause 5 represents? What is it?

I've looked through the device log information you provided in the problem description.

Cause: [5] I need to analyze the complete log information of the device to determine the cause. However, the configuration is not likely to cause [5].


Can you provide more detailed information about the equipment?

Thank you for your response, @wissal . I had already tried browsing documentation on Huawei support portal and forums on Huawei community page, with no success, though. The support documents are not available for me to download or view and I didn't find the answer in other forums/threads.

btw both links you provided are the same. At first I was hoping to find the answer in Troubleshooting section (rather than Operation & Maintenance, as you suggested) but still, I'm not able to view the docs. So I'm not even sure if I can find the description of this cause: [5] for device reset (or rather restart).

Hi, I have this problem too. In my case router restarts after my mobile phone (One Plus Nord) try connect to wifi (connect to router). When I disabled wifi on phone, all other devices works fine (some laptops, PCs, iPhones ...). But I have no choice in router administration to download "Fault Info Collect".

I will add: my phone worked fine last 3 months, till last weekend. First I changed router for another one, but problem wasn't solved. After this change I figured, that problem is with mobile phone. But this phone worked before and works on other routers - then I think problem is in router.

Firmware ver. is:

Software Version:HWTCA51910295

Hi, seems that my ONT is customized by ISP, I will contact they for more information. I can't login as you wrote above.  
Hello again, my ISP tried downgrade firmware on ONT and with this version everything works fine:

Hardware Version: HWTCA163DA
Software Version: HWTCA51910110

Where I can send you "Fault Info Collect" from both versions?
